AccuRadio app for Android
Here's how to use our app to get the most out of your listening experience.
Create an Account
Enter the email address you'd like to register, create a password, and tell us a little bit about yourself.
Then you're ready to start listening!
Browse genres
Scroll down the list of genres to find human-curated channels with exactly the music you're looking for.
Search for channels
You can use our search function to find channels that include a specific artist, or search by keyword to see if we have a channel that focuses on an instrument or style.
Favorite channels
When you find a channel you know you'll want to hear again, add it to your Favorites by tapping the heart icon in the upper right corner of the screen. You should briefly see a confirmation banner.
After that, the channel will be available in your Favorites tab.
Create Blends
1 When you're listening to any channel, you can select "Blend" from the three dots menu to combine it with other channels.
2 Now that you're in Blend mode, you can browse the genre list for channels to add.
3 Combine as many channels as you'd like, to create your own unique mix.
4 Give your Blend a memorable name - or an elegantly simple one.
Please Blend responsibly. We say "as many channels as you'd like," but in practice we've only tested it up to 15. We're not entirely certain what happens after that. Possibly our playlist generation program writes us a sternly worded memo about its working conditions. Or else the Blend tears a hole in the space-time continuum, releasing previously undiscovered genres into the wild.
Rate songs
When you hear a song you love, you can rate it four or five stars. It will be automatically added to your Five-Star Radio, which unlocks when you've given high ratings to 20 or more songs.
On the other hand, if you give a song a low rating of one or two stars, it's a little less likely to be played in any channel when you're logged in. This is different than banning a song or artist, which only applies to one channel at a time.
Ban a song or artist from a channel
When you tap the "Ban" icon in the player controls, this window will appear. You can ban an individual song, or all songs by a particular artist.
The ban only applies to that channel. Remixes or covers of a banned song, or songs written by a banned artist but performed by a different artist, won't be affected.
If you change your mind and want to add the banned song or artist back in, that unfortunately can't be done in our Android app. See the "AccuRadio on Mobile Web" section below for instructions on how to do this on your phone. You can also visit AccuRadio on a desktop or laptop computer.
Five-Star Radio
As long as you have rated at least 20 songs, you'll be able to listen to your very own Five-Star Radio.
Five-Star Radio will always appear at the top of your Favorites.
If you've just unlocked it, you may need to refresh the app for the icon to appear.
The only way to remove a song from Five-Star Radio is to change its star rating to three stars or fewer while that song is playing. Once the rating has been changed, it won't be included next time you launch Five-Star Radio.

Visit AccuRadio.com on Mobile Web
There are a few account functions which are currently not available through our mobile apps. However, they can be accessed on a mobile web browser.
Here's how:
1 Open your device's web browser. Go to www.AccuRadio.com, and log in.
2 To edit account settings, tap the user icon in the upper right, and choose "Account Settings."
3 From here, you can change your account email address or password, or delete your account.
4 If you'd like to remove a Favorited channel or delete a Blend, you can do that in the "My Channels" page on mobile web.
Tap the "Edit" button, then tap the channel you want to remove. It will be removed from your Favorites.
Five-Star Radio can't be deleted. Theoretically you could listen to it and switch all your highly rated songs to three stars or fewer until you have less than 20, but that does not sound like our idea of a good time.
5 You can also use the mobile web browser to add back in material you've banned from a channel. Find and launch the channel in your mobile web browser, and then tap the channel's name to open its ban page.
6 Find the song or artist you want to add back into the channel, and tap "Add."
